USA South releases preseason volleyball poll
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Covenant and Averett are the Division favorites in the USA South Athletic Conference preseason volleyball polls released on Thursday.
Huntingdon is fifth in the West Division poll with 27 points.
Covenant leads the West Division with seven first-place votes and 49 points and Maryville is second with one first-place vote and 42 points. Third-place Piedmont totaled 38 points and fourth-place LaGrange earned 29 points.
Rounding out the West Division are Agnes Scott (17 points) in sixth, Berea (15 points) in seventh and Wesleyan (seven points) in eighth.
Averett picked up six first-place votes and 62 points to lead the East Division. Meredith is second with two first-place votes and 57 points and William Peace is third with one first-place vote and 51 points.
