Women's Basketball Voted 6th in USA South Preseason Poll

N.C. Wesleyan & Piedmont Atop USA South Women's Basketball Preseason Polls

The USA South Athletic Conference's women's basketball coaches have released their 2021-22 preseason polls. Each divisional poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division. Head coaches do not rank their own teams in the process. A new addition to the sport of women's basketball within the Conference this season will be Southern Virginia who enters the League for its first year of membership.

N.C. Wesleyan was atop the rankings in the East Division poll and will look to capture the program's second consecutive championship as during last season's COVID-altered spring campaign, the Battling Bishops were the USA South East Division champions.

Piedmont was ranked first in the West Division poll and will look to capture a regular season title for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign. As for last year's COVID-altered spring campaign, it was Maryville who earned the West Division championship.

The 2022 USA South Women's Basketball Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-five seeded teams from each division will advance to post-season play.
