Kaitlin Cochran to Serve as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Athletics has announced the hiring of Kaitlin Cochran to serve as the next Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.

"I am honored to be named the next Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Huntingdon College and want to thank Athletic Director Eric Levanda, Associate Athletic Director Courtney Harville, Mr. Dorman, President West, and the entire hiring committee for giving me the opportunity to lead and continue building onto the success of this program," Cochran said. "I am very excited to join the Hunitngdon family and can not wait to start working with the student athletes."

Cochran comes to Huntingdon after serving as the Head Coach at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas during two Covid-impacted seasons. She was a Volunteer Assistant Coach for Life University in Marietta, Georgia, as well as Assistant Varsity Coach at Sprayberry High School in Marietta. 

"I'm looking forward to having Kaitlin join our staff to serve as our new head coach in the next chapter of our women's lacrosse program," Athletic Director Eric Levanda said. "She's had experience coaching multiple levels of women's lacrosse and will be a great fit with both our staff and students here at Huntingdon."

Cochran graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Coaching. Cochran attended Transylvania University to begin her athletic career before transferring to Kennesaw State and playing on their club team. 

"We are pleased to welcome Coach Kaitlin Cochran to the helm of the Huntingdon Hawks women's lacrosse team," President J. Cameron West said. "The team is a tight-knit, strong group of women who worked hard this season. We look forward to Coach Cochran's leadership as the team moves forward."
