Hawks Earn Third Seed in CCS Tournament
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Huntingdon Baseball is set to compete in the inaugural Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament as the three seed. The Hawks will take on Piedmont University on May 4th at 7:00 PM CT.
The Hawks earn the third seed after finishing the season 23-12 overall and 9-7 in CCS play. The last time the Hawks and Lions met up on April 21st-23rd, Huntingdon won the series 2-3. The first win came from a walkoff by Cade Morgan to score the winning run. Huntingdon's second win over the Lions was provided by great pitching performances from Hall Billings and Seth Killam and Daniel Patton fired a homerun over the left field fence for a 8-6 win. The close matchup between the #4 and #5 seed will take place at LaGrange College.

The CCS Baseball Championship will begin on Wednesday, May 3 and culminate on Sunday, May 7. LaGrange will serve as the host site for all games of this year's double-elimination conference tournament.
The CCS Baseball Championship will feature a double-elimination tournament for all teams with the exception of the six and seven seeds, which will compete in a First Round game on Wednesday. The winner of that game will advance to the double-elimination portion of the event.
