Five Men's Golf Players Receive CCS Honors

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Five Hawks have been named to a CCS All-Conference Team and one has been named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for their efforts this season as the Inaugural CCS Champions.

CCS Rookie of the Year
Jack Burr - The Huntingdon freshman has had an outstanding first year as he is currently ranked 44th nationally according to the most recent edition of the GolfStat Rankings. He is the ninth-highest ranked freshman and helped lead the Hawks to the CCS title in April. 

First Team All-Conference:

Tyler Bjorgum - Tyler is a sophomore who averaged a score of 74.96, just 3.08 over par. He had one round in the 60's and eight rounds at par or better with his best finish coming in fourth.

Jack Burr - Burr's best finish was in second this year while averaging a score of 73.74 across 27 rounds. He had a low score of 70 and shot par or better in seven rounds this season.

Grant Gronka - The junior had two first place finishes with a low round of 68. He shot in the 60's three times this season and averaged a round score of 74.48. Most memorable, Grant earned first place in the CCS Championship.

 

Second Team All-Conference

Stephen Baker - Stephen played in 22 rounds this season and averaged a score of 75.41 with a low round of 67. His best finsih was 6th in tournaments this year.

Peter Meilunas - Meilunas had a low round of 70 this season with a 7th place finish. He had an average round score 76.77.
