Hawks Set to Make Seventh Consecutive NCAA Appearance

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon Men's Golf is set to make their seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament Appearance on May 16th.

After winning the CCS Championship, the Hawks clinched a Pool C Berth for the NCAA Tournament.

There is lots of "excitement" surrounding the team says head coach Dave Schreyer. He says that "It's been a different year for us.   We started the year   very young and inexperienced, but the boys worked hard. Their skills have progressed tournament by tournament. I feel their approach is way different at this point. There are no expectations for us this year and that makes us very dangerous."

Sophomore, Tyler Bjorgum agrees with his coach, and he is "excited to be competing in his second NCAA Tournament." He says that as a team, "this is what we work for every year and it's a nice feeling to have accomplished a huge goal of ours. We are ready to go and ready to go deep and bring a championship home to Huntingdon. Hawk 'em!"

Jack Burr, an outstanding freshman speaks on how his team plans to approach the tournament, "we're not there to go through the motions. There's a true belief among each guy that we can make a run at this thing."
