Eli Powell joined the Huntingdon coaching staff in the Fall of 2022 as the running backs’ coach.

In his first season coaching running backs, Powell coached a group that accounted for 25 touchdowns and over 2,100 all purpose yards. Powell coached a 2nd-Team USA South
All-Conference selection in Kahari McReynolds who ran for over 1,100 yards and had 243 yards receiving averaging over 15 yards per reception.

Prior to the Fall 2022 season, Powell was a student assistant from Fall 2020-Spring 2022 working with Coach Jameson Stephens and the Huntingdon wide receivers. Powell helped coach
one USA South 1st Team All-Conference selection in the Fall of 2021, Malachi Harvey.

Powell played quarterback for the Hawks in 2019. Before attending Huntingdon College, Powell played quarterback at Baldwin County High School.
