MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team lost to Piedmont College 12-3 on Saturday in the second game of a three-game USA South Athletic Conference series.
The Hawks carried a 3-1 lead into the sixth inning before Piedmont scored five runs in the sixth inning and five runs in the seventh inning to take control.
Taylor Fought had an RBI and a run for Huntingdon and Garrett Headley and Luke Ates each had one RBI. Hunter Long and Wes Powell each scored one run.
C.J. Sauce (2-2) took the loss in 4 1/3 innings of relief.
Huntingdon (6-15, 3-5 USA South) and Piedmont (13-9, 3-5 USA South) will close out the series at Posey Field on Sunday at 1 p.m.
