Knight and Clark earn USA South West Division honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Two Huntingdon baseball players were recognized as All-West Division on Thursday with the release of the USA South All-Conference awards.

Catcher Andrew Knight was named first-team West Division and outfielder Colton Clark was named second-team West Division. Cullen Stafford was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Knight started in 31 games, batted .322 with 39 hits, a team-high 23 RBIs, 25 runs, a team-best four home runs, nine doubles and a team-leading .496 slugging percentage. He was second for the Hawks in hits and doubles and tied for third on the team in runs scored.

Clark started in 30 games and led Huntingdon with a .356 batting average, 47 hits, 10 doubles and two triples. He tied for the team-lead with 28 runs and eight stolen bases, tied for second on the team with 21 RBIs, was second with a .485 slugging percentage and had one home run.

William Peace first baseman Tyshawn Barrett was named USA South Player of the Year and North Carolina Wesleyan junior Derrick Carter was named Pitcher of the Year. Brevard's Logan Clark was named Rookie of the Year, N.C. Wesleyan's Daniel Thompson was named Rookie Pitcher of the Year and N.C. Wesleyan's Greg Clifton was named Coach of the Year.
