Baseball Adds Assistant Coach

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Baseball announced the hiring of new assistant coach Jacob Green.

Jacob Green joined the Hawks coaching staff on July 1, 2021 and will serve as pitching coach.

Coach Green comes to Huntingdon College from Shelton State Community College, where he was a volunteer assistant coach in 2019.

Prior to joining the Shelton State Community College coaching staff, he attended there in 2015-2017 and was a pitcher for the Buccaneers. He graduated in 2017 with an associate's degree in science. He transferred to Western Kentucky University in 2017 where he was also on the pitching staff. During his 2 years at WKU, he made 46 appearances on the mound. He graduated from WKU in 2019 with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Jacob attended Russellville High School in Russellville, AL and was the team captain and a starting pitcher for the first baseball team in RHS history to win a state championship. He had an 11-0 record with a 1.35 ERA during his senior season in 2015. He was also named to the First Team All State.

The Hawks ended the 2020-21 season 13-19 overall and 4-10 in conference play.
