Hawks Take Middle Game Against Edgewood

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Baseball defeated Edgewood, 10-2.
Colton Clark scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the first to get the Hawks on the board. In the bottom of the 3rd, Clark's RBI single made it 2-0. Edgewood made it 2-1 with an RBI single to right field in the top of the 4th.
Daniel Patton scored on a balk in the bottom of the 4th to give the Hawks a 3-1 lead. Colton Clark's second RBI single of the game made it 4-1. Colin Whibbs reached on an error by the second baseman and brought in 2 runs. Innes Mackay's RBI triple down the right field line in the bottom of the fourth made it 7-1.
Edgewood added a run in the top of the 5th with an RBI double but Mackay's home run in the 7th inning made it 8-1.
The Hawks added 2 runs in the 7th inning with Ryan Greene scoring on a passed ball and a sacrifice fly by Colton Clark.
Eddie Patterson earned the win, pitching 5.0 innings and allowing 2 runs on 7 hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. The Hawks collected 11 hits, including a triple and home run by Innes Mackay and a double by Cade Morgan.
