Hawks Complete Sweep of Hampden-Sydney

Hampden Sydney, Va.-Huntingdon Baseball won the final game of the series against Hampden-Sydney, 15-0, in 7 innings.

Daniel Phillips had an RBI single in the first inning to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. In the second inning, Cade Morgan's RBI groundout made it 2-0. Colton Clark reached on an error in the third inning to bring in a run, extending the lead to 3-0. Noah Phillips reached on a fielder's choice and brought in a run, making it 4-0. Cullen Stafford had an RBI double to give the Hawks a 5-0 lead. 

In the 4th inning, Andrew Knight's sacrifice fly made it 6-0. Colin Whibbs had an RBI single, extending the lead to 7-0. Noah Phillips had an RBI double to make it 8-0.

In the 5th inning, Ryan Greene grounded into a double play but brought in the Hawks' 9th run. Daniel Patton had an RBI single in the 6th inning, making it 10-0. Cade Morgan had a 2-RBI triple, making it 12-0. Andrew Knight's 3-run homerun in the 6th inning ended the game in a 15-0 run rule. 

Hall Billings earned the win, pitching 6.0 innings and allowing no runs on 4 hits with 5 strikeouts. Andrew Knight was 1-2 with 3 runs and 4 RBI, including a 3-run homerun in the 6th inning. Daniel Phillips was 2-2 with 1 run and 1 RBI. Daniel Patton was 2-3 with 2 runs and 1 RBI. Cade Morgan was 3-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI. Cullen Stafford was 2-4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI.

The Hawks are back in action at home on Friday, April 15th, in a doubleheader against Brevard. First pitch is set for 12:00 PM CST.
