Hawks Fall at Rhodes

Memphis, Tennessee – The Hawks, now 4-2 overall fell to Rhodes College with a score of 8-1.

With Jacob McFarling on the mound for the Hawks, a solo homerun by the Lynx began their scoring game (1-0). In the second and third innings, Huntingdon was not able to get a hit but McFarling held Rhodes to one hit and no runs.

When the fourth inning began, the Hawks still struggled offensively. McFarling gave up a three-run homerun along with two more rbis off a single and a double before being replaced by Seth Killam. Another Rhodes solo homerun came after a hitless inning for the Hawks to bring the score to 7-0.

With only two hits for the night heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, Caleb Griffis took his turn on the mound to try and slow the Lynx. He was successful until the bottom of the eighth when the Lynx hit yet another solo homerun to go up by eight.
