Hawks Take Down Virginia Wesleyan In Day Two Of Firehouse Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala. Hawk baseball (2-1)  bounced back with a 10-1 victory over the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins (2-1). The Hawks found their groove early, keeping a steady rhythm to walk away with a win

Highlights 

• In the bottom of the second inning, Daniel Patton hit a homerun to put the first run on the board. Hawks score 1-0.

• Jordan Raley flied out to right field. Jabez Sampson advanced to third, and Byron McLain scored. 0-2

• Cade Morgan walked. Daniel Philips advanced to second. Jordan Hale advanced to third, and Jabez Sampson scored. 0-3

• In the bottom of the third, Jabez Sampson grounded out to SS. Byron McLain advanced to second. Daniel Patton advanced to third. Matthew Robinson scored. 0-4

• Jordan Hale doubled to left field. Byron McLain scored as well as Daniel Patton. 0-6

• In the Top of the fourth inning, Josh Goodrich of the Marlins, flied out to Right Field. John Bastiaans advanced to third. Samuel Kasprow out at third. Sam Saunders scored bringing the score to 6-1. 

• In the bottom of the 5th inning, Daniel Phillips singled to third base. Jabez Sampson scored, changing the score to 7-1

• Cade Morgan reached first base on an error by SS. Daniel Phillips scored. 8-1

• .Matthew Robinson reached first on an error by 3B. Noah Phillips advanced to second, out at third 2B to 3B. Cade Morgan Scored. 9-1.

• Jabez Sampson singled to left field. Byron McLain advanced to third. Matthew Robinson scored 10-1.

On the Mound
