Five Hawks named NSCA All-American Athletes of the Year

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Five Huntingdon student-athletes were among those honored with the release of the National Strength and Conditioning Association's All-American Athlete of the Year awards.
139 Hawks earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 130 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 139 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,446 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Division III Week Spotlight – Wilkerson reflects on 8 seasons as a Hawk

This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the seventh-year event. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, five student-athletes were featured this week. In addition to the student-athletes’ accomplishments, today we recognize former Huntingdon assistant football coach and current Jacksonville State University assistant football coach Landius Wilkerson. Wilkerson is the latest Huntingdon football coach to get a start in collegiate coaching at the Division III level before moving to the Division I level. A total of nine former Huntingdon assistant coaches have moved on to coach at the Division I level.

Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, five student-athletes will be featured this week. Huntingdon senior Chip Taylor is today's featured student-athlete.
Hayes and Hering earn All-Region honors

MINNEAPOLIS – Two Huntingdon players earned All-South Region recognition with the release of the D3football.com All-Region teams on Tuesday afternoon. Junior linebacker Trey Hayes and junior offensive lineman Chris Hering were both named third-team All-Region.

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Huntingdon football team’s season came to an end with a 34-20 loss at Berry College on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Tarver and Turk headline All-Conference team for Huntingdon

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Two Huntingdon Hawks earned individual awards and 12 Huntingdon players earned All-Conference recognition with the release of the USA South All-Conference football awards on Thursday. Freshman linebacker Linell Tarver was named Defensive Rookie of the Year and head coach Mike Turk was named Coach of the Year. Seven Hawks were named first-team All-Conference and five were second-team selections.

Thomas and Tarver earn USA South Athlete of the Week honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Two Huntingdon football players were recognized as USA South Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week on Monday. Running back Eric Thomas was named Offensive Rookie of the Week and linebacker Linell Tarver was named Defensive Rookie of the Week. This is the first recognition for Thomas and the fourth time Tarver has been named Defensive Rookie of the Week.
Three-peat: Hawks clinch third straight USA South championship

As the backups closed out the final quarter and a half of Huntingdon's 55-7 win over Methodist University, the significance of the win began to sink in. Shortly after the final horn sounded, the celebration of a third straight USA South Athletic Conference championship began.
Hawks push winning streak to seven games with victory over Greensboro
