Brevard, NC.-Huntingdon Football (1-2) defeated Brevard College(1-3), 21-14.
After Brevard opened scoring in the 1st quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run, the Hawks offense answered back with Kahari McReynolds ending a 92-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run.
In the second quarter, quarterback Landon Cotney ended a 62-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown rush.
Casey Peppers returned a Brevard fumble for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Though Brevard scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, the Hawks held on to secure their first win of the season and first conference win.
Cotney was 13-21 with 70 yards completed. He also rushed for 102 yards.
The Hawks are back in action next Saturday, October 2nd, when they take on Methodist at 1 PM CST.
