Peppers and Vickers Earn All-Region Honors

MONTGOMERY, AL - Defensive lineman Robert Vickers and linebacker, Casey Peppers were named to the 3rd team D3football.com All-Region 3 team.

For Casey Peppers, this is his second year (2022) being named to the D3football.com All Region 3 3rd team.  The 3x 1st team all-conference senior linebacker from Panama City Beach, Florida became the Hawks all-time career leader in tackles this season, finishing with 343 total tackles.  Peppers finished the 2023 season with 78 total tackles, 2 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss.

Robert Vickers is a sophomore defensive lineman from Headland, Alabama.  Vickers was named 1st team all-conference and finished his season with 18 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 8 tackles for loss.

On Vickers - "I am very proud of all that Rob accomplished this year, and I have enjoyed watching his development during his time here.  The exciting part for us is that he still has two years to play, and Icannot wait to see what he is able to accomplish during the rest of his career as a Hawk."

On Peppers - "I am thankful that Casey has been recognized as an all region performer.  He has meant so much to our team over the years, both as a player and as a leader.  He is definitely deserving of this.  We will certainly miss his presence as a team captain and mento to the younger players on our team."

Region 3 includes the American Southwest Conference, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the Southern Athletic Association and the USA South Athletic Conference.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 3 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 151 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 77 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 15, in D3football.com's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl 50.
