Jackson, Miss.-The Huntingdon Men's Basketball Team defeated Millsaps, 68-67 in overtime.
The Hawks were down 37-36 at halftime but were able to force overtime after out-scoring MIllsaps 24-23 in the second half. Huntingdon totaled 8 points against Millsaps 7 to secure the win in overtime.
Damien Madison led the team with 12 points, including 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Caleb Toney led the team with 10 rebounds and had 2 steals. The Hawks outrebounded Millsaps 42-38.
Sam Page was 4-7 inside the arc and 3-6 on 3-point attempts. James Harris was 1-1 outside the arc, totaling 9 points. Willie Taylor collected 7 rebounds and 11 points and was 3-6 on 3-point attempts.
The Hawks will take on East Texas Baptist tomorrow at 6 PM CST in Day 2 of the Millsaps Tournament.
