Hawks Defeated by Hendrix
Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Men's Lacrosse was defeated by Hendrix, 15-8.
After falling behind 2-0 at the start of the first quarter, Paul Gordon put the Hawks on the board at 10:47. Ian Bruggeman tied the game at 7:15 of the first quarter with an assist by Caden Bacz.
Hendrix added 9 straight goals to take an 11-2 lead. Bruggeman's second goal of the game at 1:54 of the second quarter made it 11-3 going into halftime. Bruggeman's third goal of the game with an assist from Brady Moulton came at 12:33 of the third quarter to make it 12-4.
Moulton scored the Hawks' 5th goal of the game at 7:34 of the third quarter to make it 12-5. Bruggeman's fourth goal of the game at 4:35 of the third quarter made it 13-6. Paul Gordon made it 13-7 at 2:21 of the third quarter with his second goal of the game. Hendrix added a goal at 1:08 of the third quarter to take a 14-7 lead into the fourth quarter.
At 14:35 of the fourth quarter, Caden Bacz made it 14-8 with an assist from Paul Gordon. Hendrix made it 15-8 with a goal at 1:14 of the fourth quarter.
Tyler Daigle suffered the loss, making 6 saves and facing 33 shots. Jesse Thomas made 11 saves on 29 shots. Ian Bruggeman totalled 4 goals with 12 shots. Paul Gordon had 2 goals, 1 assist, and 5 shots. Brady Moulton collected 1 goal, 1 assist, 3 shots, and 2 ground balls. The Hawks totalled 28 shots and 16 ground balls and were 20-21 on clear attempts.
The Hawks are back in action at home against Brevard in the conference opener on Saturday, March 19th. Game time is set for 1:00 PM CST.
