Hawks Fall to LaGrange

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Men's Lacrosse fell to LaGrange, 14-12.

The Hawks held a lead until late in the fourth quarter, allowing LaGrange 14 shots in the fourth quarter and 46 shots total.

Ryan Campion scored the first goal for the Hawks at 12:52 of the first quarter. At 10:58, Brayden Puckett made it 2-0 with an assist by Paul Gordon. Ian Bruggeman's first goal of the game at 9:52 made it 3-0. Bruggeman scored his second goal of the game at 7:12 to make it 4-0 with an assist by Campion. At 5:25 of the first quarter, Bruggeman's third goal of the game made it 5-0.

LaGrange got on the board at 12:28 of the second quarter and made it 5-2 at 11:33. At 9:58 of the second quarter, Paul Gordon made it 6-2. Brady Moulton scored at 6:33 to make it 7-2 with an assist by Brayden Puckett. LaGrange added 2 straight goals at 3:54 and 3:00 to make it 7-4. Caden Bacz closed out the first half with a goal at :40 with an assist from Paul Gordon.

LaGrange made it 8-5 at 14:54 of the third quarter. Caden Bacz gave the Hawks a 9-5 lead at 13:33 with an assist by Bruggeman. Kole Andres made it 10-5 at 10:20 of the third quarter. At 10:08, LaGrange added their 6th goal to make it 10-6. Ian Bruggeman made it 11-6 at 7:02 with an assist by Puckett. LaGrange added 2 goals at 7:02 and 6:50 of the third quarter. Ryan Campion scored at 4:27 of the third quarter to make it 12-8. LaGrange made it 12-9 at 3:59.

In the fourth quarter, LaGrange scored 5 straight goals to tie the game and eventually take the lead at 6:24. The Hawks totaled 40 shots but were not able to come back in the fourth quarter.

Ryan Campion had 2 goals on 6 shots with 5 ground balls. Paul Gordon had 1 goal on 7 shots with 2 assists. Ian Bruggeman had 6 goals and 1 assist on 12 shots with 4 ground balls. Brayden Puckett had 1 goal and 2 assists with 5 shots and 1 ground ball. Jesse Thomas made 8 saves on 22 shots.

The Hawks travel to Pfeiffer on Saturday, March 26th. Game time is set for 1:00 PM CST.
