Hawks Fall to Greensboro

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Men's Lacrosse was defeated by Greensboro, 16-10. The Hawks are now 4-7 overall and 1-3 in conference. 

Greensboro took a 1-0 lead at 13:58 but Paul Gordon tied the game at 12:15 with an assist from Brayden Puckett. Greensboro scored 3 straight goals in the first quarter. Puckett closed out the first quarter with an unassisted goal at 00:45 to make it 4-2. 

Ian Bruggeman scored at 13:17 of the second quarter and again at 10:52 to tie the game at 4. Kole Andres gave the Hawks a 5-4 lead at 9:31 but Greensboro scored 3 straight goals to make it 7-5. Brayden Puckett made it 7-6 at 3:33. 3 straight goals by Greensboro made it 10-6 going into halftime.

Caden Bacz started the third quarter with a goal at 14:29 to make it 10-7. Greensboro added a goal at 13:40, making it 11-7. Bruggeman's second goal of the game at 9:56 made it 11-8 followed by a goal from Paul Gordon at 9:05 to make it 11-9. Greensboro added 3 more goals to close out the third quarter with a 14-9 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Ryan Campion made it 14-10 with a goal at 11:22. Greensboro added 2 goals at 9:39 and 4:11 to secure a 16-10 win.

Paul Gordon had 2 goals on 10 shots while Brayden Puckett had 2 goals on 7 shots and 1 assist. Ian Bruggeman had 3 goals on 8 shots. Jesse 'Blake' Thomas made 5 saves on 21 shots. The Hawks collected 21 ground balls and were 25-30 on clear attempts.

The Hawks travel to Piedmont on Tuesday, April 5th. Game time is set for 5:00 PM CST.
