Hawks End Season with Loss to Methodist

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Men's Lacrosse was defeated by Methodist, 16-10.

Methodist scored the first goal of the game at 11:33 of the first quarter but Alexander Hero tied the game at 5:36. Caden Bacz gave the Hawks a 2-1 lead at 4:07 with an assist by Ian Bruggeman. Methodist tied the game at 3:25 of the first quarter. 

A goal by Anthony Morales at 13:15 of the second quarter made it 4-3 with an assist from Brayden Puckett. Bruggeman extended the lead to 5-3 at 12:20 of the second quarter. Methodist added a goal at 9:26 and tied the game at 7:32. 2 more goals by Methodist to close out the second quarter gave the Monarchs a 7-5 lead going into halftime.

Ryan Campion started the third quarter with a goal at 13:25 to make it 7-6. Methodist added a goal at 7:15 to extend the lead to 8-6. Brayden Puckett scored at 6:06, making it 8-7. 2 goals by Methodist to end the third quarter made it 10-7. Campion scored at 13:04 of the fourth quarter to make it 10-8 but Methodist scored 4 straight goals to take a 14-8 lead. Alexander Hero added a goal at 3:56 to make it 14-9 but 2 more goals by Methodist made it 16-9. Brayden Puckett ended the game with a goal at 1:02, making it 16-10.

Ryan Campion had 2 goals on 7 shots with 2 ground balls. Caden Bacz had 2 goals on 8 shots. Alexander Hero had 2 goals on 5 shots. Brayden Puckett had 2 goals and 1 assist on 7 shots with 2 ground balls. Ian Bruggeman had 1 goal and 1 assist on 7 shots. 

Tyler Daigle made 10 saves on 17 shots. Jesse 'Blake' Thomas made 7 saves on 16 shots. The Hawks totaled 44 shots and were 24-27 on clear attempts. 

The Hawks end the season 4-13 overall and 1-8 in conference.
