MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon Men's Soccer (3-9-1 overall, 0-4-1 CCS) fell to the Mountaineers of Berea College (6-9-1 overall, 3-2 CCS) on Senior day, 4-1.
Prior to the start of the game, Huntingdon recognized their nine seniors for their accomplishments on and off the field:
The Mountaineers outshot the Hawks 13-3 in the first 45 minutes of play. With goals in the 36th minute and 44th minute, Berea took a 2-0 lead at halftime.
After the half the Hawks went down by three as Berea scored their third goal in the 73rd minute. Huntingdon's senior, Liam Kearns followed that goal with an unassisted one of his own to bring the score to 3-1.
Suffering from a red card and playing down a man the Hawks gave up one final goal at the end of the game.
Berea still had more shots in the second half than the Hawks with 14.
Starting goalkeeper, Braden Ross had 8 saves on the game.
