Hawks Compete in First Ever Indoor Track Meet at KMS Invitational

Birmingham, Ala.-Huntingdon Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed in their first ever indoor track meet at the KMS Invitational.

Tanika Smiley finished 35th in the Women's 60 meter dash with a time of 8.38. Kate Smith finished 30th in the Women's 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.09 while Rhiannon Sevier finished 31st with a time of 1:07.29.

Breanna Smith competed in the Women's 1 Mile run, finishing 30th with a time of 6:35.53.

Mac Brooks and Blake Bailey competed in the Men's 1 Mile run, finishing 21st and 26th respectively. 

Jalyn Lewis, Harrison Jackson, and Alex Cole competed in the Men's 400 meter dash, finishing 24th, 35th, and 36th, respectively. Alex Cole also competed in the Men's 600 meter, finishing 31st with a time of 1:49.25 while Michael Storie finished 32nd with a time of 1:52.18.

Will Curtis finished 34th in the Men's Long Jump with a distance of 5.20 meters. William Bailey, Tyler Shirley, Taylor Chestnutt, and Mac Brooks finished 5th out of 7 teams in the Men's Distance Medley with a total time of 11:41.62.

Both teams are back in action on Saturday, February 6th at the USA Jag Invite in Birmingham, Alabama.
