Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Softball defeated Millsaps 1-0 and Mount St. Joseph, 3-2. The Hawks improve to 7-3 overall.
Game 1 vs Millsaps:
The Hawks defeated Millsaps with a bases-loaded walk by Brooke Stefankiewicz in the bottom of the 7th.
Crimson Wells improved to 2-1 after she pitched 4.0 innings and allowed no runs on 3 hits with 2 strikeouts. Holly Sharp pitched 3.0 innings and allowed only 1 hit with 2 strikeouts.
Brooke Stefankiewicz was 2-3 with an RBI while Lydia Lewis 1-2 with a walk and the Hawks only run. The Hawks totaled 6 hits including a triple by Emily Niuwstraten.
Game 2 vs MSJ:
The Hawks defeated MSJ, 3-2.
Anna Vaughn's RBI single in the first inning gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Lydia Lewis walked with the bases loaded to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.
Miranda Treadway hit a solo homerun in the 2nd inning to make it 3-0. MSJ added a run in the 3rd with an RBI single.
In the 7th inning, MSJ added their second run of the game with an RBI double but the Hawks held on for the win.
Katelyn Holcombe earned the win, her 3rd of the season, with a complete game. She allowed 2 runs on 7 hits with 2 strikeouts.
The Hawks are back in action tomorrow against MSJ and Millsaps starting at 2:00 PM CST.
