Game 1:
The Hawks defeated Berea, 7-4, in game 1.
Emma Bauer had an RBI double in the 4th inning to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Dani Holt's RBI single made it 2-0. Berea added a run in the bottom of the 4th, making it 2-1.
Holt had an RBI single in the 6th to make it 3-1. Emily Nieuwstraten's 2 RBI single gave the Hawks a 5-1 lead. Bauer had a 2-RBI single in the 7th to make it 7-1. Berea added 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th but the Hawks held on for the win.
Holly Sharp earned the win, pitching 4.0 innings and allowing 1 run on 5 hits with 2 strikeouts. Brooke Stefankiewicz was 2-3with 1 run; Natalie Ritchey was 3-4 with 3 runs. Emma Bauer was 2-4 with 3 RBI and 1 run; Dani Holt was 3-4 with 2 RBI and 1 run.
Game 2:
The Hawks took game 2, 5-0.
Emily Nieuwstraten had an RBI groundout in the first inning to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Nieuwstraten's RBI double in the third inning made it 2-0.
Natalie Ritchey had an RBI single in the fourth inning to give the Hawks a 3-0 lead. Dani Holt doubled to bring in Ritchey, making it 4-0. Annie Nolan had an RBI groundout to make it 5-0.
Crimson Wells earned the win, pitching 6.0 innings and allowing no runs on 3 hits with 4 strikeouts. The Hawks totaled 11 hits, including 2 doubles. Brooke Stefankiewicz was 2-4 with 2 runs. Emily Nieuwstraten was 1-4 with 2 RBI.
