Freshman Duo Of Roberts And Stephens Headline CCS Weekly Awards

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In recognition of their excellent performances against Birmingham-Southern, Denison, and Greensboro, the Collegiate Conference of the South has named Allie Roberts the Pitcher of the Week and Kylie Stephens the Rookie of the Week.

Winning this award for the second time this season, Roberts continued her flawless performance on the mound, securing another win against Birmingham Southern. In the doubleheader, she pitched 8.0 total innings, allowing just three runs on one hit with one strikeout. Against Denison, she pitched 7.0 innings, conceding only two runs on seven hits while striking out an impressive 17 batters. With this performance, her record stands at 8-0 this season with a 0.81 ERA.

Stephens went 5-for-12 with 5 RBI collecting wins over Birmingham-Southern and Denison. This is her first time being named the Rookie of the Week.

Roberts, Stephens, and the Hawks look forward to a double-header battle with #6 ranked Berry College on March 14th. Games are scheduled for 2:00 and 4:00 PM CT.
