Hawks Defeat Point

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse defeated Point, 15-7.

Point scored back-to-back goals to start the first quarter, taking a 2-0 lead. Reagan Bullock scored at 10:31 to make it 2-1. Point added another goal at 9:25 but Dylanie Chappel scored at 8:53 followed by Celina Owens-Campbell at 6:34 to tie the game at 3. Point made it 4-3 at 5:22. Jordan Alvis tied the game at 4 with a goal at 0:04 of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Alvis' second goal of the game at 14:16 made it 5-4. Point tied the game again at 12:48 but the Hawks scored 5 goals before halftime. Bullock's second goal of the game at 10:47 made it 6-5 with an assist by Owens-Campbell. Bullock scored again at 4:57 followed by a goal by Peyton Beachler at 3:56 with an assist from Michaela Haas. At 2:04, Bullock made it 9-5 with an assist from Chappel. Owens-Campbell closed the first half with a goal at 0:06, making it 10-5.

Bullock scored to start the third quarter, giving the Hawks an 11-5 lead. Shelby Blair scored at 11:39 with an assist from Beachler and the pair added a second goal and an assist, respectively, at 9:22. Dylanie Chappel made it 14-5 with a goal at 1:58 of the third quarter. Point added a goal at the end of the third quarter, making it 14-6.

In a shortened 4th quarter due to weather, Point scored at 12:24 to make it 14-7. Owens-Campbell's 3rd goal of the game at 11:38 made it 15-7.

Elizabeth Todd made 3 saves on 8 shots. Morgan Coppini made 1 save on 3 shots. Reagan Bullock had 5 goals on 7 shots with 5 ground balls. Dylanie Chappel had 2 goals and 2 assists on 5 shots. Celina Owens-Campbell had 3 goals and 1 assist on 6 shots. The Hawks were 17-19 on clear attempts.

The Hawks are back in action at home on Saturday, April 2nd, when they take on Greensboro for Senior Day. Game time is set for 4:00 PM CST.
