Hawks Dominate Greensboro on Senior Day

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse defeated Greensboro, 16-2.

The Hawks' offense dominated for the entire game, starting with a free-position shot goal by Celina Owens-Campbell at 12:39 of the first quarter. Peyton Beachler made it 2-0 at 12:13 followed by a goal from Zoe Dezaldivar at 11:21, making it 3-0. Greensboro added a goal at 11:06 but Reagan Bullock added a goal at 9:09 to give the Hawks a 4-1 lead.

In the second quarter, the Hawks added 9 straight goals. First, Jordan Alvis scored at 14:46 with an assist from Shelby Blair. Blair scored on a free-position shot at 13:33 followed by unassisted goals from Zoe Dezaldivar and Michaela Haas at 13:11 and 12:30, respectively. Owens-Campbell scored at 9:44 to make it 9-1 followed by Alvis' second goal of the game at 9:18. Beachler scored at 8:18 with an assist from Bullock, making it 11-1. Dylanie Chappel gave the Hawks a 12-1 lead followed by a goal from Colby Jones at 1:10 with an assist from Owens-Campbell, making it 13-1 going into halftime.

Shleby Blair added a goal at 3:57 of the third quarter to make it 14-1. Jordan Alvis scored at 1:41 to give the Hawks a 15-1 lead.

Greensboro added a goal at 11:30 of the fourth quarter but Celina Owens-Campbell scored again at 1:45 to make it 16-2.

Zoe Dezaldivar had 2 goals on 4 shots. Reagan Bullock had 1 goal and 1 assist on 6 shots with 4 ground balls. Shelby Blair had 2 goals and 2 assists on 6 shots with 7 ground balls. Celina Owens-Campbell had 3 goals and 1 assist on 7 shots. Morgan Coppini made 4 saves on 6 shots.

The Hawks travel to William Peace on Friday, April 8th. Game time is set for 2:00 PM CST.
