Hawks Dominate William Peace

Raleigh, NC.-Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse defeated William Peace, 20-1.

The Hawks offense started early, scoring 6 goals in the first quarter and 6 goals in the second quarter, taking a 12-0 lead into halftime. 

Celina Owens-Campbell scored her first of 8 goals at 14:32 of the first quarter with an assist from Peyton Beachler. Owens-Campbell scored 2 more goals at 9:31 and 8:34 with assists from Jordan Alvis and Dylanie Chappel, giving the Hawks a 3-0 lead. Alvis scored her first of 5 goals at 7:37, assisted by Chappel. Shelby Blair made it 5-0 with 42 seconds left in the first quarter and Alvis closed out the first quarter with her second goal of the game.

​​Owens-Campbell's 4th goal of the game was at 14:47 of the second quarter. Alvis made it 8-0 at 12:03 followed by a goal from Colby Jones at 10:04, assisted by Peyton Beachler. Alvis scored on a free position shot at 8:29 to make it 10-0. Reagan Bullock scored at 3:15 with an assist from Jordan Alvis. Celina Owens-Campbell closed the first half with an unassisted goal at 1:02 to give the Hawks a 12-0 lead.

In the third quarter, Jordan Alvis made it 13-0 at 12:04 with an assist from Chappel. Owens-Campbell scored her 6th goal of the game at 12:28. William Peace scored their lone goal at 11:26. Owens-Campbell scored on a free position shot with 27 seconds left in the third quarter, making it 15-1.

Celina Owens-Campbell made it 16-1 with a goal at 13:47 of the fourth quarter, assisted by Reagan Bullock. Michaela Haas scored at 10:48 to give the Hawks a 17-1 lead. Mackenzie Wolford added a goal at 6:29 with an assist from Bullock. Bullock's second goal of the game came at 3:39, assisted by Chappel. Haas scored the final goal of the game at 1:32 with an assist by Zoe Dezaldivar.

Celina Owens-Campbell led the team with 8 goals on 9 shots with 2 assists and 5 ground balls. Jordan Alvis collected 5 goals on 9 shots with 2 assists and 6 ground balls. Reagan Bullock had 2 goals on 5 shots with 2 assists and 4 ground balls. Michaela Haas had 2 goals on 2 shots. 

Morgan Coppini made 1 save on 2 shots. The Hawks collected 41 shots and only allowed 6 shots.

The Hawks travel to Meredith tomorrow, April 9th. Game time is set for 12:00 PM CST.
