Hawks Outlast Oglethorpe

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Soccer shutdown Oglethorpe to win 2-0 at home.

Goals from Erin Cembrale and Allison Fisher, both unassisted, led the Hawks offense that totalled 14 shots.

Goalkeeper Kiki Culpepper notched her second win of the season, making 6 saves on 6 shots.

"We knew this was going to be a heavy game on our legs after playing 24 hours before and being midday in the Alabama heat," Head Coach Cliff Jordan said.

"The team overall from top to bottom put everything out on the field and I couldn't ask anything more from them," Jordan said. "They went 100% the whole game."

"Grabbing two wins early into the season like this is a great motivation booster for a very talented squad," Jordan said. "We're looking forward to recovering quickly and playing a strong Rhodes opponent this Wednesday."

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, 9/15, taking on Rhodes at 6:00 PM at the Samford Soccer Complex.
