MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon Women's Soccer (2-5 overall, 0-1 CCS) fell to the Blazers of Belhaven (4-2-1 overall, 2-0 CCS) in their first Collegiate Conference of the South matchup, 3-0.
The Blazers started the game off strong with multiple shots before their first goal in the ninth minute.
Anaely Almeida shot one to the Blazers goalie in the thirteenth minute, but it wound up being the first of four saves for Belhaven.
The Blazers' 16 first half shots stunned the Hawks three shots.
In the second half, the Blazers threw two more goals into the net and starting goalkeeper, Libby Williams ended the game with 15 saves on 18 shots.
Women's soccer will be back in action on Saturday at Berea College, game time is set for 1:00 PM CT.
