Hawks Fall To Agnes Scott In First Round Of CCS Tournament
CHATTANOOGA,Tenn.- In the first round of the CCS tournament, Huntingdon women's tennis(5-6 overall, 4-3 CCS) fell just short to the Scotties of Agnes Scott College 5-4. The Hawks started strong, winning two of the three doubles matches, but slipped in singles to be defeated. See below for the full doubles and singles results.
Doubles
- Taji Williams and Ella Hathcock defeated Iris Ray and Allyson Gibbs 8-2
- Natalie Tedesco and Katelyn Morris defeated Rosie Hagel and Leilah Lewinson 8-5
- The Hawks were forced to forefeit the third doubles match
Singles
- Taji Williams defeated Allyson Gibbs in three sets, winning the first 6-4, losing the second 7-5, and winning the third 6-2
- Natalie Tedesco defeated Leilah Lewinson 6-4 and 6-3
- Iris Ray defeated Ella Hathcock 6-3 and 6-2
- Rosie Hagel defeated Katelyn Morris 6-2 and 7-5 with a second set tiebreaker score of 7-4
- Angelina Mazza was defeated by Fabiola Garcia in three sets, losing the first 7-5, winning the second 7-6 with a tiebreaker score of 7-5, and dropping the last set 6-3.
- The Hawks were forced to forefeit the sixth singles match
