Huntingdon volleyball earns first conference win

LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team split a pair of conference matches on Saturday but picked up its first conference win.

The Lady Hawks lost to Greensboro 25-6, 26-24, 23-25, 24-26, 15-7 but knocked off Mary Baldwin 25-11, 25-14, 25-13 to win their first USA South Athletic Conference match.

Bobie Wilson had six kills and Kali Martin, Ally Brislinger and Ashley Childs each had five kills and Jenna Dorman had four kills for Huntingdon (5-22, 1-11 USA South) against Mary Baldwin (0-25, 0-15 USA South). Lexi Rangel had 15 assists, Lauren Condon had 14 digs and Wilson had 10 digs.

Against Greensboro (11-16, 7-8 USA South), Kalen Morgan had 12 kills, Brislinger had 11 kills and Rangel had 13 assists. Morgan also had six aces. Condon recorded 24 digs and Wilson had 14 digs.

Huntingdon hosts Piedmont (23-8, 9-4 USA South) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
