Hawks Split Day 1 of Rhodes Tournament

Memphis, Tenn.-Huntingdon Volleyball (1-7) splits day 1 of the Rhodes Tournament, beating Westminster (Mo.) in 5 sets, and losing to Texas Lutheran, 3-0.

Game 1

After winning the first set against Westminster, the Hawks fell behind 2-1 after 3 sets. Huntingdon was able to take the 4th set, 25-15, and a close 5th set, 15-13.

Jordan Hollis led the team with 15 kills, while Kamea Nash had 10. Morgan Ilsley had 17 digs, followed by Audrey Horsley with 16.

Game 2

The Hawks were unable to carry any momentum from the first game into game 2 against Texas Lutheran.

Courtney Patterson collected 24 digs while Jordan Hollis had 7 kills. Hollis tallied 8 points for the Hawks but the team could not overcome the Texas Lutheran offense. 

The Hawks are back in action tomorrow for day 2 of the Rhodes Tournament, taking on Austin College and Rhodes at 1 PM and 3 PM respectively.
