Hawks Take Down LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. - Huntingdon Volleyball increased their conference record to 10-5 in the Collegiate Conference of the South with a 3-0 road victory against LaGrange.

The Hawks started strong with a 12 kill first set, double the kills of the Panthers. After taking the lead at 10-9, Huntingdon never turned back. An 8-0 run from the team boosted the momentum and forced a Panther timeout. Stat leader Ashlen Janowski closed out the set at 25-15 with her 6th kill of the set.

LaGrange's eight errors in the second set benefited the Hawks greatly. Huntingdon never gave up the lead throughout the second set. Molly Wilson showed out with eight second set assists as she climbed her way to a career high 27 assists on the night. The Hawks finalized the second set and went up 2-0 in the game with a 25-10 win.

Wilson continued on her roll with 11 assists in the third set as her teammates produced 17 kills in the set to completely dominate the Panthers. With a 25-12 third set win, the Hawks flew to victory with a sweep of their conference foe.

The Hawks will return home to Roland Arena this Saturday as they host a CCS tri-match against Piedmont University and Berea College.
