Women's Soccer Sweeps CCS Weekly Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. - Three Hawks have taken over the Collegiate Conference of the South Athlete of the Week Honors. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Laney Bishop

The Midfielder from Glencoe, Alabama played in both of the Hawks matches this week with big wins over Birmingham-Southern and Mississippi University for Women. Against the Owls Bishop had two shots on goal and against in-state rival, the Panthers, she finished with two goals and three shots, all on target.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Zoe Gerlach

The Port St. Joe, Florida native helped lift the Hawks with two wins last week. She led the defense and did not allow a shot on goal in wins against MUW and Birmingham-Southern.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Libby Williams

The freshman goalkeeper earned two starts this past week and asserted herself in the net with eight saves on nine shots in the win over BSC and seven saves against MUW in the Hawks home opening win.
