Men's Soccer No.7 Heading Into CCS Tournament

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced the seedings and bracket for the 2023 CCS Men's Soccer Championship Tournament, which will be played Wednesday through Saturday (October 25-November 4). The second edition of the tournament will be hosted by the highest seed involved in each individual contest.
 
The tournament opens on Wednesday, October 25 with a trio of games. No. 4 seed Berea (6-10-1; 3-3 CCS) won the tiebreaker by defeating LaGrange on Oct. 7 and is seeded to face No. 5 seed LaGrange (5-7-1; 3-3 CCS) in Game 1. The No. 3 seed Piedmont (6-8-3; 3-3 CCS) won the tiebreaker by defeating Belhaven on Oct. 21 and will take on No. 6 seed Maryville (6-5-6; 2-2-2 CCS) in Game 2, while the No. 2 seed Belhaven (7-3-5; 3-1-2 CCS) plays No. 7 seed Huntingdon (3-9-3; 0-4-2 CCS) in Game 3.
 
After capturing this year's regular season title, Covenant (8-5-3; 4-2 CCS) claimed the tournament's No. 1 seed as well as a bye into the Saturday's semifinals.
 
The Wednesday winners then will move on to play the tournament's top four seeds on Saturday, October 28 in the semifinals.
 
The winners of both semifinal games will advance to the championship game on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The Hawks are set to face No.2 Belhaven on Wednesday October 25th. The teams last matched up on October 11th where the 90 minute battle ended in a 0-0 draw. Starting goalkeeper, Braden Ross had six saves on the game and led the team defensively.

Varian Carty and Tate Reynolds lead the Hawks offensively this season with 5 and 4 goals, respectively.
