CCS Announces Tennis Championships Seedings

CHATTANOOGA, TN (April 22, 2024) - The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has revealed the seedings for the 2024 CCS Men's and Women's Tennis Championship Tournament, set to take place at the Chattanooga Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Piedmont has clinched the top seed in both the men's and women's brackets, securing both regular-season Conference titles. This marks the men program's first regular season title since the conference's inception. Covenant, the 2023 CCS Champions, enters this year's tournament as the No. 2 seed, dropping only one match in regular season conference play.
Belhaven has claimed the No. 3 seed, marking the second consecutive year the Blazers have been seeded in the top three on the men's side. Maryville followed with the fourth seed, boasting a league record of 3-3. The men's seedings are completed by Huntingdon at No. 5 and LaGrange at No. 6.
In the women's bracket, Piedmont repeated taking the top seed and a first-round bye after an impeccable 7-0 conference record and over 20 wins in the regular season, maintaining a six-season undefeated streak, including two in the CCS. Covenant secures the second first-round bye and the No. 2 seed, continuing its trend of top-two seeds for the second consecutive year.
Maryville captures the No. 3 seed with a 5-2 Conference record, followed by Huntingdon at No. 4. Agnes Scott, with a 3-4 league record, claims the fifth seed, with Belhaven rounding out the women's seeds at No. 6.
