Hawks beat LaGrange, fall to Lincoln Memorial

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team opened the LaGrange Tournament with a split on Friday.

The Hawks beat LaGrange 5-0 before losing to Lincoln Memorial 5-0.

The win over LaGrange was the third 5-0 victory of the season and the fourth in program history.

Against LaGrange, Huntingdon's No. 1 team (Amy Tyma and April Reese), No. 3 team (Addison Genard and Lauren Hinton) and No. 4 team (Shelby McAllister and Morgan Ilsley) and No. 5 team (Ashanti Thomas and ZaKira Landrum) each won 2-0. The No. 2 team (Shelby Freese and Jessica Brunk) won 2-1.

In the loss against Division II LMU, the No. 1 team of Tyma and Reese went to three games.
