Hawks Drop Matches To Stevenson And Berry

MOUNT BERRY,Ga.- On the first day of the second annual Berry College DIII only tournament, Huntingdon beach volleyball(6-16 overall) was taken down by Stevenson(14-5 overall) and Berry(8-10 overall) 4-1 in each match. See below for the pairing matches results.

2. Grace Mau/Kat Kelyman defeated Ariel Helmick/Izzy Valldeperas 21-13, 21-19
3. Caroline Foote/Lindsey Holland defeated Bella Boston/Kara Schmit 21-17, 21-10
4. Lilly Teague/Keira Kruk defeated Bea Lindquist/Jessi Hilyer 21-13, 21-16
5. Olivia Mallow/Andrea Hurt defeated Lydia Hitchcock/Eva Ellenburg 22-20, 21-12

Match 2 vs Stevenson

1. Veronica Tikhomirova/Ashlen Janowski defeated Caleigh Bernota/Sima Kahoussi 21-18, 21-16
2. Hannah Naja/Maddis Clouser defeated Izzy Valldeperas/Ariel Helmick in three sets, dropping the first 14-21, and winning the next two 21-17 and 17-15
3. Taylor Jones/Nicolette Fuglestad defeated Caroline Foote/Bea Lindquist 21-9,21-8
4. Miranda Mueck/Giulia Vigletta defeated Lindsey Holland/Jessi Hilyer 21-13 in each set.
5. Olivia Simon/Sam Simmers defeated Lydia Hitchcock/Eva Ellenburg 21-18, 21-17

The Hawks return to action in the DIII-only tournament tomorrow, March 23rd, with a match against Hendrix. The first flight is set to begin at 11:00 AM CT.
