Beach Volleyball's Season Concludes At The AVCA Small College Championships

TAVARES, Fla.- To conclude their season, Huntingdon beach volleyball(10-24 overall) tied for 5th place in DIII at the AVCA Small College Championships. At the tournament, the Hawks suffered losses to Hendrix, Lynchburg, East Texas Baptist, and Stevenson. See below for the pairing matches results throughout the tournament.

Match one: Huntingdon-0, Stevenson-3

• Ariel Helmick and Izzy Valldeperas were defeated by Nicolette Fuglestad and Taylor Jones 21-14 and 21-18
• Caroline Foote and Lindsey Holland were defeated by Maddie Clouser and Hannah Naja 21-12 and 21-16
• Eva Ellenburg and Bea Lindquist were defeated by Miranda Mueck and Guilia Vigietta 21-10 and 21-6

Match two: Huntingdon-0, Hendrix-3

• Ariel Helmick and Izzy Valldeperas were defeated by Kyler Greenlee and Eliana Oden 21-15 and 21-13
• Caroline Foote and Lindsey Holland were defeated by Morgan Ford and Liz Roy 21-12 and 21-19
• Jessi Hilyer and Lydia Hitchcock were defeated by Kailey Carrico and Mabry Matz 21-16 and 21-13

Match three: Huntingdon-1, East Texas Baptist-3

• Ariel Helmick and Izzy Valldeperas were defeated by Shelbee Adkins and Madison McDonald 21-17 and 22-20
• Caroline Foote and Lindsey Holland were defeated by Nadia Brockway and Mona Salgado in three sets, dropping the first 21-13, winning the second 21-17, and falling in the third 15-10
• Eva Ellenburg and Bea Lindquist defeated Bailee Kitchen and Hannah Perry in three sets, winning the first 21-9, losing the second 21-14, and winning the third 15-13
• Jessi Hilyer and Lydia Hitchcock were defeated by Peyton Fredrick and Kyleigh Pate 21-14 and 21-7

Match four: Huntingdon-1, Lynchburg-3

• Kailey Keough and Jordan Palmer defeated Ashlen Janowski and Veronica Tikhomirova 22-20 and 21-10
• Amanda Trapp and SJ Yanz defeated Ariel Helmick and Izzy Valldeperas in three sets, with Ashlen and Izzy winning the first 21-16 and dropping the next two 21-15 and 15-12
• Caroline Foote and Lindsey Holland defeated Mady Shirley and Victoria Williamson 21-17 in each set
• Jessi Hilyer and Lydia Hitchcock were defeated by Laney Burns and Kassie Menard in three sets, winning the first 21-19 and dropping the next two 21-9 and 15-10

Match five: Huntingdon-0, Hendrix-3

• Ashlen Janowski and Veronica Tikhomirova were defeated by Abbey Collier and Rebecca Solina 21-15 and 21-13
• Caroline Foote and Lindsey Holland were defeated by Morgan Ford and Liz Roy 21-16 and 21-17
• Jessi Hilyer and Lydia Hitchcock were defeated by Kailey Carrico and Mabry Matz 21-16 and 21-12
