Hawks Fall to LaGrange in Series and Season Finale
Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Baseball lost to LaGrange, 9-4, in game 3 of the series.
LaGrange started the 4th inning with an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead. A 3-run homerun and 2-run homerun made it 6-0. The Hawks answered back in the bottom of the 4th, starting with an RBI single by Ryan Greene. Andrew Knight had a 2-RBI single to make it 6-3. Colton Clark followed with an RBI single to make it 6-4.
In the 6th inning, an RBI double gave LaGrange a 7-4 lead. The Panthers added 2 more runs on a wild pitch and sacrifice fly to take a 9-4 lead.
Hall Billings suffered the loss, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing 6 runs on 6 hits with 2 strikeouts. The Hawks totaled 10 hits, including a double by Colton Clark. Andrew Knight was 3-4 with 2 RBI. Ryan Greene was 1-3 with 1 run and 1 RBI.
The Hawks will travel to NC Wesleyan on Thursday, May 5th, to take on Pfeiffer in round 1 of the USA South Conference Tournament. First pitch is set for 2:45 PM CST.
