"We really went to work this week during the bye week and I think we executed well," Landon Cotney said. "We focused on what we needed to improve on and we'll continue to do that in practice this week."

"It's just a natural connection with Cotney," Tyler England said. "Cotney and I have been here all summer working hard. The extra week of preparation really helped us a lot. For Methodist next week, we're focusing on ourselves."

"We knew it was going to be physical and chippy but we were prepared," Tucker Spence said. "We're going to have to do the same thing next week against Methodist. They're a good team but we'll adjust in practice."

"The offense in the first half was executed really well and I was very happy to see that," Head Coach Mike Turk said. "It was a pretty solid effort and I'm proud of the entire football team. I'm proud of the defense for the effort they gave, especially in the first half; it was a lot of fun to watch."

"There's a lot of history there but we have to be disciplined and not get involved and stay focused on the game and I think we did that," Turk said. "We had a lot of guys step up and make some big plays."

Huntingdon Football travels to Methodist on Saturday, October 22nd. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM CST.
