GREENSBORO, N.C.- Huntingdon Football (6-2 Overall, 4-1 USA South) defeated the Pride of Greensboro College (0-8 overall, 0-4 USA South) by a score of 56-8 Saturday afternoon.

Following a Hawks fumble on the first drive of the game, Sophomore quarterback Dorian Smith subbed into the game to lead the Hawks offense. His first possession under center accumulated with a 8-yard passing touchdown to senior receiver Tyler England, to give the Hawks a 7-0 lead going into the second quarter. The Hawks defense, led by senior Ty Brown, forced a quick 3 and out for the Pride on the following possession. Riding the wave of the Hawks defensive efforts, Smith called his own number on an 11-yard touchdown run to spark a 21-point quarter for the Hawks.

Following another defensive stop by Huntingdon, Dorian Smith and Troy Garner led the Hawks on a 77-yard drive featuring a 66-yard scramble from Smith that led to a 2-yard touchdown run by Garner. The quarterback and running back duo accounted for every yard on the possession, giving the Hawks a 21-0 lead.

After another scoreless Pride offensive possession, the Hawks capitalized with a 20-yard touchdown throw to receiver Antojuan Woody to go into the first half leading 28-0.

The Second half would continue the Hawk's dominance. A 20-yard touchdown reception by Will Pilgrim to start the second half scoring at 35-0, but the Hawks defensive dominance shone in the second half. Hawks defensive back CJ Figgers intercepted a pass from Pride quarterback Jayden Morrison to force the first turnover of the half on the following drive. There was a scoring hiatus through the third quarter until defensive back Gus Johnson intercepted another pass, returning it for a touchdown and putting the Hawks ahead 42-0.

The fourth quarter began with a 42-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Blake Smith to Antojuan Woody for his second touchdown of the day, pushing the lead to 49-0. A Huntingdon turnover later gave the Pride their first touchdown of the game followed by a successful two-point conversion.
