Hawks fall at Maryville

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT HUNTINGDON BASKETBALL GAMES

 

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team lost to Maryville 84-66 on Saturday to close out a two-game conference series.

The Hawks played Maryville evenly for much of the first half and led 19-17 midway through the half. But the Scots used an 18-7 run to pull ahead and take a 13-point lead in the final minutes of the half.

Huntingdon trailed 43-34 at halftime and pulled within seven points in the opening minute of the second half. But from there, Maryville pulled away for good.

Ceaunte Zachery had 15 points and four assists for Huntingdon and Willie Taylor added 14 points. Caleb Toney finished with 11 points and six rebounds and Keondre Davis had 10 points and two blocks.
