FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon's Addison Lambeth was named USA South Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.

This is the third time this season that Lambeth has been recognized by the USA South Athletic Conference. Lambeth is currently the No. 1 golfer in Division III according to Golfstat.com

The Greensboro, N.C. native turned in a record performance this past week, shooting a two round total 6-under-par 134 while taking medalist honors in the Emory Spring Invitational. The senior fired a 6-under 64 in the final round and birdied seven of the final nine holes to take his second straight win.

His 64 is one stroke better than Huntingdon's previous NCAA-era record of 65 set by teammate Will Thrash last fall.

His 134 led the Hawks to their second consecutive win and fifth win of the season. The Hawks will head into the USA South tournament as the No. 1 team in the nation. Huntingdon tees off at 9:20 a.m. at the Highland Country Club in LaGrange, Ga. on Thursday.

Ferrum's Lance Keiser was named USA South Golf Rookie of the Week. The freshman tied for 12th at the Emory Invitational with a 3-over 143.
