Huntingdon blows by William Peace for fourth conference win

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team scored 10 goals in the first half and knocked off William Peace 17-7 on Saturday.

Behind three goals from Seth Howe, two goals from Adrian Harper and one goal from Bryce Coates, the Hawks built a 6-1 lead in the first 16 minutes of the game. Huntingdon carried a 10-3 lead into halftime and led by at least eight goals for the final 28 minutes of the game.

Howe led Huntingdon (8-6, 4-0 USA South) with four goals, Harper added three goals, an assist and five ground balls and Coates had three goals.

Mac Puller finished with two goals, two assists and four ground balls and Austen Saucier had two goals. Zach Barnhill had one goal, one assist and three ground balls, Brayden Puckett scored one goal and Raymond Edwards had one goal and six ground balls.

Carmen Fuentes, Cole Foster and Paul Gordon each had one assist. Foster also had three ground balls. Tyler Keiser won 13 faceoffs and picked up eight ground balls

Goalie Matt Murphy had 16 saves and seven goals allowed in 57 minutes and Stephen Dan had one save in three minutes.
