Hawks fall to Piedmont in conference opener

DEMOREST, Ga.  – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team lost to Piedmont 17-10 on Thursday in the conference opener for both teams.

Huntingdon only trailed 3-1 midway through the first quarter before Piedmont pulled away with nine straight goals to take a 12-1 lead in the second quarter.

Caleb Bohrer led Huntingdon with three goals, Brandon Miller had two goals and Zach Barnhill had one goal and one assist. Paul Gordon, Ian Bruggeman, Ryan Campion and Brayden Puckett each scored one goal.

Raymond Edwards, Bruggeman and Cole Foster combined for nine of Huntingdon's 14 caused turnovers. Edwards had five caused turnovers and nine ground balls and Bruggeman and Foster each had two caused turnovers. Tyler Keiser finished with six ground balls.

Goalie Stephen Dan had 15 saves and allowed 17 goals in 60 minutes.
