Hawks fall to Hendrix in season opener

CONWAY, Ark.  – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team lost to Hendrix College 12-5 on Saturday in the Hawks' season opener.

Huntingdon fell behind 5-1 early in the second half but rallied and pulled within a goal, 5-4, late in the third quarter. But from there, Hendrix gained the upper hand and pulled away.

Paul Gordon, Cole Foster, Ryan Campion, Ian Bruggeman and Tyler Keiser each had one goal for the Hawks and Caden Bacz had one assist. Gordon had eight ground balls, Mike Jones had seven ground balls and Bacz had six ground balls. Keiser was 7-for-10 on faceoffs.

Goalie Stephen Dan recorded 19 saves, 12 goals allowed and six ground balls in 60 minutes.
